On November 19, 2009, BVR Systems (1998) Ltd., announced, further to its announcement of July 20, 2009, the closing of its agreement with Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQl ESLT), pursuant to which BVR sold substantially all of its assets to Elbit Systems Ltd.   As part of this transaction, BVR assigned its rights and obligations under various agreements to Elbit Systems Ltd.

Following the transaction Joseph Ackerman, President and CEO of Elbit Systems Ltd., commented: “We welcome BVR’s employees to the Elbit Systems family.  The acquisition of BVR System’s business activities is in line with our long-term strategy of growth through mergers and acquisitions of complementary companies with high synergistic value”.  Ackerman further added: “BVR Systems is a well-established company with advanced technology products that have proven operational success.  The company’s capabilities complement Elbit Systems’ other training capabilities”.

Elbit Systems' Live Training product range enhances the training capabilities of every operational platform. Our Live Training product range includes embedded training solutions with real-time simulation and safety capabilities, as well as advanced mission rehearsal and mission debriefing capabilities.

The common infrastructure of all Elbit Systems' products is based on a networked, distributed training system architecture, allowing for joint training between different BVR and third party's training systems, utilizing advanced datalink and networking solutions.

Elbit Systems' Virtual training product line is a diversified range of ground based simulators for all armed forces, enabling training from a single user up to strategic joint force training with the inclusion of massive numbers of real and virtual entities.

Elbit Systems'  Constructive training capabilities are provided by the flexible, distributed and robust scenario generation engine driving all Elbit Systems'  training solutions. The constructive training capabilities are, on their own, an advanced simulation system providing war gaming capabilities of simulated people/entities operating simulated systems. 

The Distributed Training capabilities, provided by Elbit Systems for over 20 years, led the company to develop Advanced Datalink Solutions, enabling users to participate in multi-participants and multi-forces joint live training sessions. In addition, Elbit Systemshas developed Advanced C4I Solutions enabling command and control over highly complex training scenarios, including thousands of participating entities (both virtual and real).
